The 34-year-old, Alodia, unveils her genuine passion for portraying fictional characters for years, which has blown people away.
Senpai Alodia, most fans fond of calling her, has made a significant impression in the niche she's immersed herself in, which is an accomplishment considering it all simply started on a whim. Anyone who has been online in the past decade or so recognizes that the name Alodia Gosiengfiao is synonymous with the title of the Philippines' "Queen of Cosplay."
The Story Behind Her Cosplay
She recalls that she performed cosplay for the first time in 2003. "Ragnarok Online, my first online game, was launching at the time. Because I didn't really know what I was doing, it was rather amusing. I had wet hair when I arrived from cheerleading practice, and I had no idea how to apply makeup.
As passionate as she is, Alodia made her debut as a cosplayer wearing a black cloak that resembled a nun's habit, a cross-shaped pendant resting on her chest, and a silver staff in her hands—apart from the thigh-high split on one leg. You may just search to find out how it panned out when she tried to dress as a high priestess from the Korean video game.
To revel means to engage in self-indulgence. Alodia deserves to enjoy what she painstakingly works hard for. And this time, out of all the spectacular ones she's worn throughout her career, Alodia is getting ready to don her most important outfit yet, a wedding gown.
